A certificate of good standing is issued by Companies House and confirms that the company has been in continuous existence since incorporation and that no action is currently being taken to strike the company off the register.
This service can be used in conjunction with the Apostilled Documents service.
A certificate will only be issued if the company’s annual return and accounts are filed up to date and one of the following applies:
It is a private limited company with at least one director who is a natural person |
It is a public limited company with a secretary and at least two directors, one of which is a natural person |
A certificate can be requested when opening business a bank account or where there is overseas involvement.
